Strengthening the School Transport Service

The Importance: Our school is located in an area where access to quality education is a challenge for many students. Long, treacherous walks or lack of reliable public transportation can deter regular attendance. We provide school transport services to ensure that our students have a safe and efficient means of reaching school, thereby promoting consistent attendance and timely arrival.
Current Status: Currently, we operate with only one 14-seater van, which is tasked with transporting over 100 students each morning and evening. Unfortunately, our primary school bus is in need of extensive repairs, including a new engine, which is currently beyond our financial capacity. The inadequacy of our transportation service poses a significant hurdle to the accessibility of education for our students.

Improved Infrastructure

Kitchen: The existing wood-fueled boilers are outdated and inefficient, leading to a smoke-filled kitchen and dining room due to chimney issues. Moreover, the heavy reliance on firewood harms the environment.
Computers: Our computer lab, equipped with ten computers, needs both software upgrades and a broader Wi-Fi bandwidth to enhance the learning experience. Expanding the number of computers is necessary to reduce the student-computer ratio.

Perimeter Wall

The Challenge: Our school's safety and security are compromised due to the porous live fence and broken wire that previously held it together. We face difficulties in keeping unauthorized individuals out and ensuring the well-being of our students and property.

Books

Essential Tools: Books are the foundation of learning, serving as invaluable resources for both teachers and students. However, as a private school without government support, we struggle to provide an adequate library.

Scholarships

Mission-Driven Education: Our school's primary mission is purpose-driven, rather than profit-centric. We have faced financial shortfalls due to the inability of some families to pay full fees. Scholarships would help bridge these gaps, contributing to a more equitable learning environment.
Impact: Increasing our income through scholarships would allow us to hire additional teachers, reducing the teacher-student ratio and providing a higher quality education experience for our students.

Ensuring Clean Water Access: Access to clean and sustainable water sources is crucial for the health and well-being of our students and the surrounding community. The installation of a borehole will help secure a consistent supply of clean water, mitigating the risks associated with unreliable water sources and supporting the overall welfare of the school and its students.
